Bodies of Land

Site-specific installation in Frechette Pond, Alfred, New York (2001).
(Floating wax body casts, moss, pond, reflection)

A series of wax casts of male body parts (chest, back, ass, genitalia) covered in mosses float freely in a small pond. The covering of moss diminishes the simple identification of the body parts, and moves the viewer to contemplate an aerial view of moving islands (each with its own landscape) within a miniaturized body of water.
